چکیده
Intensification of industrial activity, environment stress contributes to the significant rise heavy metal pollution in water resources. Pollution due malignant metals such as lead, chromium, arsenic etc., has been tremendously focused on communal health. Lead pollution-potable finds great threat by different sources like plating units, lead pipes Newspaper is a cellulosic materials, containing cellulose, hemicellulose and other inorganic fillers. The present study evaluates potentiality modified newspaper pulp for sequestration Pb(II) ions. Characterizations loaded unloaded were evaluated FTIR, SEM EDAX assay. Batch experimental studies accomplished assess equilibration between sorbate-sorbent through various operating factors viz., pH, dosage, time course, initial concentration, influence ions, co-ions effect temperature. residual concentrations Pb2+ ions from aqueous solutions are examined UV-Visible Spectrophotometer. equilibrium data was appropriately fitted with Langmuir adsorption isotherm model.

Characterization of a mixture of algae waste-bentonite used as adsorbent for the removal of Pb2+ from aqueous solution
The usage of wastes of algae would be admirable from environmental and solid waste management point of view. Thus, herein, this data set present a facile method for providing an adsorbent from mixture of algae waste-bentonite. The prepared adsorbent was applied to remove Pb2+ from aqueous solution. The characterization data of the adsorbent were analyzed using FTIR and SEM-EDX methods. The FTIR...
متن کاملThe Potential of Date-palm Leaf Ash as Low-cost Adsorbent for the Removal of Pb(II) Ion from Aqueous Solution
This study investigated the feasibility of Date-palm) Phoenix dactylifera (Leaf Ash (DLA) (an inexpensive agricultural-byproduct) as an application to adsorb Pb(II) ions. An adsorption process was carried out to evaluate initial concentration Pb(II) ions, adsorbent dose, contact time, pH and temperature on the systematic removal of Pb(II). The effects were examined and results showed that remov...
متن کاملCoal Ash as a Low Cost Adsorbent for the Removal of Xylenol Orange from Aqueous Solution
The removal ofxylenol orange from aqueous solution onto the coal ash was investigated at room temperature. The results show that the adsorption capacity of xylenol orange increased as the adsorption time increased and then equilibrium established after 30 min adsorption time. The results obtained revealed that the coal ash removed about 80 % of xylenol orange from the aqueous solution withi...
متن کاملThe Use of Corn cob Micro Powder as a Low Cost Adsorbent, for the Removal of Co2+Ion from Aqueous Solutions and from the View Point Thermodynamics
Corn cob as a low cost adsorbent was used in the present work for the removal of toxic heavy metal Co2+ from aqueous solutions. Bath experiments were used to determine the best adsorption conditions. The equilibrium adsorption level was determined as a function of solution pH, temperature (T), contact time (tc), initial adsorbate concentration, and adsorbent dosage. Effective removal of metal i...
متن کاملAgricultural waste material as potential adsorbent for sequestering heavy metal ions from aqueous solutions - a review.
Heavy metal remediation of aqueous streams is of special concern due to recalcitrant and persistency of heavy metals in environment. Conventional treatment technologies for the removal of these toxic heavy metals are not economical and further generate huge quantity of toxic chemical sludge. Biosorption is emerging as a potential alternative to the existing conventional technologies for the rem...
